The Oscars of Management Thinking

12th February 2016 - 2997 days ago

Thinkers 50

The Thinkers50, launched in 2001, was the first-ever global ranking of management thinkers. Over the years its scope has broadened to include a range of activities that support its mission of identifying and sharing the best management thinking in the world. In 2011 the Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Awards were introduced and have been described as the ‘Oscars of Management Thinking’.

On Monday, 9 November 2015, the biennial Thinkers50 rankings were announced, along with the Distinguished Achievement Awards winners - celebrating the best and brightest management thinkers in the world.

Many of the established thinkers remain on the list, with some changes in ranking. Michael Porter appears at the top of the list, replacing Clayton Christensen who moves to number 2 and Renée Mauborgne and Chan Kim have moved up to number 3.

There are also some new, high achievers who have made their first appearance. They include our speakers such as Martin Lindstrom who has entered at number 8 and has just launched his new book, which features in our latest Speaker Bulletin, along with Erik Brynjolfsson and Andrew McAfee; some worthy global management names of today and for the future, all of whom can deliver powerful messages to companies around the world.
